Morning Sickness

Week 7 has been full of nauseousness! & what a bunch of liars because it's not only in the morning! I've been ok for the past 2 days so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more of this. Sunday night I was dizzy and blurry eyed. When we got home Don had me call the Dr. She said as long as it didn't persist it was fine and to just lay down, rest, and stay hydrated. So the dizziness went away but left a ton of nausea! I woke up with it Monday morning as well. It was bad. I had to call out of work. I finally started to feel back to normal Monday afternoon and have been fine since. Ugh I really hope I don't get nauseous on the cruise!

Our 2 year Anniversary!

2 years ago today I married my best friend & had the time of my life at our wedding! Time flies when you're having fun I guess. It's hard to believe the wedding was already 2 years ago! Don is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me & I can't imagine my life without him. He makes me happy every single day. I Love You Babe!

Last year for our 1st Anniversary we had a big BBQ to celebrate!

This year we decided to get away for a night alone. So Thursday night Don took me to Atlantic City. We had a nice dinner at Carmine's in the Tropicana, gambled a lil at the Taj, walked the boardwalk, and just had fun together. It was great.

I couldn't help it & got Don this as an Anniversary gift.

So cute!! All in all we had a wonderful Anniversary! I couldn't be happier & am hoping for many many years to come!

6 Weeks

So I really need to start taking these belly pics when I'm dressed or at least have make up on! The first 2 weeks i look awful! But here I am 6 weeks PG! I feel like a whale already but i guess that could be bloat? I'm forever tired. No matter how much sleep I get it's never enough and I love my naps more than ever! Oh yea and I'm peeing constantly!! The past 2 nights before bed i go to take my pre-natal vitamins & its hard to swallow and makes me nauseous after i take it. Bleh not looking forward to taking it tonight. Let's hope it doesn't get worse!

6 weeks PG August 18, 2009

Baby S is on the way...

Well, I'm starting this blog to document my pregnancy & life during it. Don & I have been married 2 years this coming Monday, August 24th and this is the best anniversary gift ever! We're thrilled about the upcoming addition to our family!

We first found out last Monday, August 10th. Funny thing was I had an appointment with the Dr. the next day to find out what the next step was in getting pregnant since we had been trying for a little while with no luck. I came home from work and took the calendar off the wall. I wanted to write down what my cycles were so that I would have that info for the Dr. appointment the next day. After Don had been asking me for a couple weeks to take that one test I had left over I figured I may as well. There it was a plus sign!

Trying to stay calm I called Don at work and asked him to come home. He wanted to know what was wrong, if everything was ok, he wouldn't come home until i told him. So as much as I didn't want to tell him on the phone it came out. "I'm Pregnant!" He says after hearing this he almost crashed the police car! lol He told me he was leaving & to go to the store and get another test, a digital one but not to take it until he got here. I sped off to Stop N Shop since its the closest place but of course they didn't have a digital so i just bought another EPT. Don got home and i took both of those with the same positive results. That was still not enough for him. We then both get in the car & head to ShopRite. They don't have the digital tests either! WTF! Finally Target had them and surprisingly they're cheaper than the other tests. More positive results!

I guess reading the word Pregnant made Don believe it was true. After some tears and hugs and letting it sink in for a minute, we knew we couldn't hold it in. Off to Jersey we went!

We called Don's sister, Kim on the way and told her so she was the first to know. Of course the one night I go home my Mom was going to her friends house. After a few texts of asking what time she would be home and her wanting to know why she called me and said Are you gonna tell me you're Pregnant? So i hung up! lol She called back and I asked her why she has to ruin everything? lol So she cried & cried and told my brother, Little, before i could, who then proceeded to tell my cousin, Anthony, before i could! Grr!! I also called Tiffany on the way and Daria and let them know the news! Tiff was super excited & Dar didn't want to believe me! lol We finally made it to Don's parents & told them & they were thrilled! Karen thinks the due date will be April 8th! I called Rota, even though I was afraid he would jump off the roof or something! lol He came right over. The rest of the night involved telling most of the family & practically all of our friends! We're no good at secret keeping!

The next morning, Tuesday, August 11th, I had my Dr. appointment. Don had work so he couldn't come with me. The Dr. confirmed that I was pregnant and said I was around 5 weeks. She had me schedule an early sonogram for the following week since I was so irregular. Dr. said my due date is April 10th!

The following Monday, August 17th I had my first sonogram. They confirmed I was about 6 weeks so the Dr. was right on the previous week. We saw the baby on the screen and heard that Heartbeat! That made everything so much more real! I totally cried and I think Don did too! It was amazing! The sonogram machine said my due date is April 11th! lol I think i'll stick with the doc's opinion of April 10th!
