Long Overdue Update

First off IT'S A GIRL!!

We found out at the big U/S on November 5th! We are both very excited!! I just knew it was a Girl, guess I was right! LOL As much as Don wanted a boy, I know he's just as happy to have Daddy's little Girl. Here's a few pics of the U/S & of how we told our families...

U/S 18weeks 2days 11/5/09

All of our registering is done. We did the majority of it at Buy Buy Baby but did but some items on a registry at Babies R Us only because BBBs are few & far between. Not everything is as Pink as i expected & wanted. The big items we chose to go neutral so that we can keep them for our next child & if it's a boy it just made sense. So a lot of the smaller items & bedding especially is super super girly!! If anyone wants to take a look & has any advice on anything we should add or remove I'm definitely open to hearing opinions. We're still looking at furniture so hopefully after the holidays that will be all settled. Here's a pic of the bedding we chose:


Speaking of the nursery we have also found an apartment! 2 bedrooms of course so this little one has a room of her own! We actually just got the keys today & began moving some things over. We're trying to get as much done as possible before leaving for Florida on Friday. We are planning to fully move in on December 3rd which is the day we get back. Eek! Oh yea & Thanksgiving is tomorrow in the meantime! LOL How this is all gonna happen I have no idea! But i'm sure it will! I'm just really looking forward to sunny Florida for a few days. Last vacation before the baby.

The big name war has begun. We knew if it was a girl it would. Don wants Brianna & I want Adrianna. They're both very similar & neither of us dislike the others name but at the same time neither of us are willing to give up our choice. We're at a serious stand still that has no end in sight. We're even considering other names but again we're not finding anything worth giving up what each of us wants. So who knows when this will end! We have not even begun to discuss middle names yet.

There has been major major movement going on in my belly. I feel kicks & her moving around all the time now. Even Don has felt a couple kicks here and there!!

So i just wanted to update before i fell even more behind. Between tonight & by around 11:30 tomorrow morning I have to make gravy & macaroni for the first course of Thanksgiving tomorrow at my Moms & I'm making a chocolate pudding pie, I have to pack for Florida & attempt to pack up everything else in this apartment. Eek! Wish me Luck!!

Definitely Showing Now

Wow i keep forgetting to update this thing. Soo lots has been going on. We're starting the baby off nice & young & it has now been to see Bon Jovi & super close might I add! I'm definitely showing now. Don said when we were at the mall a couple weeks ago people were looking at my belly. We've decided to register at Buy Buy Baby but are still anxiously awaiting Thursday afternoon to find out what Baby S!! We're dying to know if we're Team Pink or Team Blue!! If you'd like to take a vote in the poll please do! www.pollpub.com/is-baby-s-a-boy-or-a-girl.aspx Also I've been feeling something going on in my belly for a couple weeks now. The past week or so it has been a bit stronger. I know its the baby just not sure what exactly the baby is doing. Don thinks its very light kicks. I'm sure they'll get stronger soon enough!

15 weeks - 10/13/09

Hello 2nd Trimester

I've made it into the 2nd Trimester. Just 6 more months to go! Nothing much to report on. Had another Doctors appointment today just for a monthly checkup. Heard the heartbeat again! =) We're getting very anxious and are dying to know if it's a boy or girl!! I'm calling to make that appointment tomorrow so I'll at least have a date to look forward to!

Belly is really growing now. Up 12 pounds. eek!

Baby S is really a Baby!!

So Friday we went for our NT Scan which was basically just another Ultrasound. We were very excited to see Baby S. The last ultrasound was at 6 weeks and the baby looked like a chicken nugget according to Don. Well this time was a big change! I was 13 weeks 3 days for this appointment. This time Baby S looked like a baby!! It was crazy to see such a change. Baby was jumping around in there as if it were a moon bounce! Looked like fun actually! lol I think we're in trouble. We must have a stubborn one in there. I had read that most NT Scans only take 20 minutes or so & well we were in there for about an hour and a half! The tech needed the baby to turn to get a specific picture for the scan & it was just not happening. I had to get up and walk around the building a few times, drink apple juice, get on all fours & cough, and finally just spin around on the table in both directions. This baby did not want to turn around!! The tech did finally get what she needed otherwise we would have had to go in again which Don was excited about! lol He was soo amazed looking at the screen! It was really cute. I had also read that it was possible we might get a hint from the tech as to the sex of Baby S. But our Tech said it would be unprofessional of her to tell us so early. So no clues yet! Although Don swears he sees a boy part in these pics...

getting bigger

I just keep getting bigger. Its crazyness! I feel like a whale & its pretty uncomfortable. I finally gave in and bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans this weekend. The whole sweat pants thing is working but I can't really go out in sweat pants. Therefore I gave in.

We can't wait for Friday! We have another sonogram/ultrasound appointment (still not sure what the difference is) for the NT scan. I can't wait to see the baby again & get new pics and have it actually look like a baby this time! It's going to be a big difference from the 6 week pics.

3 Months!!

12 weeks already! Its really flying by. I hope it keeps up till April! lol Don did my finger prick today for the First Trimester Screening. I cried like a baby as usual but it HURT!! I have the sonogram for it next Friday! Really looking forward to seeing the baby again & getting new pics!

September 22 - 12 week belly pics

Back to Reality, sorta

Back from vacation! We celebrated Don's birthday on the Carnival Liberty & it was great. The ship was like a clone of the Glory that we loved back in April 07. Same design/layout and all with some added upgrades like a huge LCD screen over the pool on the lido deck! Cozumel was the same as the last time we visited. Don & I spent the day together while the rest of the boys went 4 wheeling. We walked around the shops & then went to Paradise beach where they had fun stuff for Don to do in the ocean like a trampoline and a glacier to climb. Afterwards we met up with the guys and went to Fat Tuesdays. The next stop was Grand Cayman and we had never been there before. It was absolutely gorgeous! Clearest water i have ever seen & i think i like it better than the Bahamas! I'd love to go and stay there sometime. I was not thrilled with Jamaica. Of all the islands i've been to I've never been hassled so much in my life. Don & I only spent maybe an hour off the ship shopping & then headed back since we didn't have any excursions booked. I felt like it was the longest vacation of my life! Normally it goes by soo quickly i'm wondering where the time went but this time had we docked a day early i wouldn't have minded. I think it may have had something to do with being sober! lol All in all it was fun & nice to be away & get some sun. =)

I took the belly pics in our stateroom on Tuesday September 14. I was exactly 11 weeks since they moved up my due date!

I came back to find out my job has been soo slow lately that they don't need me to work right now. So I just applied for unemployment. Hopefully all goes well & i'll be happy to sit home & collect. =)

Heard the Heartbeat!!

Soo we had an appointment today with the Dr. who by the way was super nice!! She broke out the doppler & forewarned us that it was early and not to be concerned if we cant hear it right away if at all. But soon as she put it on my tummy there it was loud & clear!! We heard the heartbeat!! It was awesome! & they decided to move my due date up to April 8th based on the last sonogram! Fine by me! The sooner the better!! Now we can go on our cruise without any worries tomorrow. Just wanted to update quickly before we go!

This Saturday we leave for our Carnival Cruise! I'm very much looking forward to it! Not soo much looking forward to being sober but at least I won't be at work right? lol We have another Dr. appointment Friday & are hoping to hear the heartbeat!! I'm going to go to the mall after work to see if I can find even just a few things that I'm more comfortable in because my wardrobe just isn't cutting it! I keep growing and as of now it still just looks like fat! lol Again I've been feeling ok this week, same spurts of nausea here and there.

Goodbye Summer =(

Can't believe it's already September! This summer flew by & the weather sucked! I'm feeling much better this week. Still have spurts of nausea but they come and go, other than that I can't complain much. I feel huge! I can't button my jeans anymore. I had to go to Target & buy a Belly Band to help the situation. I hope this helps me last another couple of months before i have to go buy maternity stuff. Not looking forward to elestic band jeans! I'm hoping to just live in sweats for the winter. I'll just buy them in a bigger size. Only 10 more days till its cruise time!!

Morning Sickness

Week 7 has been full of nauseousness! & what a bunch of liars because it's not only in the morning! I've been ok for the past 2 days so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more of this. Sunday night I was dizzy and blurry eyed. When we got home Don had me call the Dr. She said as long as it didn't persist it was fine and to just lay down, rest, and stay hydrated. So the dizziness went away but left a ton of nausea! I woke up with it Monday morning as well. It was bad. I had to call out of work. I finally started to feel back to normal Monday afternoon and have been fine since. Ugh I really hope I don't get nauseous on the cruise!

Our 2 year Anniversary!

2 years ago today I married my best friend & had the time of my life at our wedding! Time flies when you're having fun I guess. It's hard to believe the wedding was already 2 years ago! Don is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me & I can't imagine my life without him. He makes me happy every single day. I Love You Babe!

Last year for our 1st Anniversary we had a big BBQ to celebrate!

This year we decided to get away for a night alone. So Thursday night Don took me to Atlantic City. We had a nice dinner at Carmine's in the Tropicana, gambled a lil at the Taj, walked the boardwalk, and just had fun together. It was great.

I couldn't help it & got Don this as an Anniversary gift.

6 Weeks

So I really need to start taking these belly pics when I'm dressed or at least have make up on! The first 2 weeks i look awful! But here I am 6 weeks PG! I feel like a whale already but i guess that could be bloat? I'm forever tired. No matter how much sleep I get it's never enough and I love my naps more than ever! Oh yea and I'm peeing constantly!! The past 2 nights before bed i go to take my pre-natal vitamins & its hard to swallow and makes me nauseous after i take it. Bleh not looking forward to taking it tonight. Let's hope it doesn't get worse!
